CLEAR POLY TOPCOATS
#1065 DECOFINISH
ALIPHATIC URETHANE – SATIN – LOW ODOR 81% SOLIDS
DecoFinish #1064 M and DecoFinish #1065 S are clear 57% solids, two-component aliphatic urethane coatings.
Both products provide excellent chemical, abrasion, and stain resistance. DecoFinish #1064 M and DecoFinish #1065 S are perfect coating systems for interior or exterior applications where the finished surface may be exposed to high wear abrasion and ultra-violet light. APPLICATION INFO
Surface Preparation: New concrete must have a 28-day cure and be applied to a clean/sound substrate that is free of laitance and curing compounds. Mechanical preparation by means of shot-blasting or diamond grinding to a minimum of a CSP 2/3 as defined by ICRI, then properly vacuumed to remove any remaining dust.
Mixing: Mix both components for approximately 2-3 minutes. CAUTION: if mixing solvent-based products with an electric drill, sparks may ignite solvent odors. Whenever possible use a battery-operated cordless drill.
Applying Product: These products yield better results using a “dip and roll” application method. Do not let material “puddle”. If this material is allowed to puddle in low spots, small white bubbles may appear.
Back roll the material in both directions onto the surface. DO NOT TURN THE MIXING VESSEL (BUCKET) OVER ON THE FLOOR IN AN EFFORT TO UTILIZE THE ENTIRE CONTENTS.
The “dip & roll method appears to yield the greatest success, use a non-shed 1⁄4” or 3/8” nap roller cover.
Typical Coverage will be between 200-300 square feet per gallon. This will vary depending on the surface to which the mixed product is applied.
